Flu shot or not?

DISCLAIMER-
People who know me, are aware that I do not immunize my kids. This is a very personal decision. It is a very hot topic as well. I have met alot of people who do the same, and I have met alot of people who tell me I am stupid etc...
I have done my own research for years. My mother is a holistic therapist. I have seen Naturopaths and Homeopaths for years. In my experience this is the best decision for my family. I won't give you all the reasons why, you can do your own research. I don't suggest this for everyone, I believe there are certain circumstances where you should have vaccinations etc...

There having said that, I found this great way of immunizing myself against the seasonal flu. I will be my own guinea pig this year. I got the flu really bad last year for like a month, and I dont want to get sick again. (Just so you know I would go through that again rather than have the poisons stuck into my body with a needle) my bad, did I say that out loud?

I love homeopathic remedies, they have helped my family and I immensly over the years and I find they work better than most pharmaceutical medicines. I am not totally anti pharma however, I do believe that Tylenol and epidurals are among mans greatest inventions!!!!

anhow this is the stuff:

I found it at Superstore of all places for like 12 bucks. It is the actual virus' circualationg for this season according to the W.H.O. (some of you may actually believe what they say, as far as I am concerned they are multimilliondollar corporation that scams the world population) oops I did it again, so sorry:)

It just doesnt have all the bad stuff in it that the shots do.
So I hope it works, you can laugh and say I told you so if it doesnt... no please dont just come over and bring me some chicken soup:)

Stay tuned... in a few months I will document my yearly detox. I do love that, and the health benefits I get from it.

PS if you are interested in altenative medicine, I love to talk about it. I have learned a ton of stuff over the years, mostly from my mom and I see an excellent homeopathic doctor in our area if you want his number. I am convinced he is the reason why I had 2 very good pregnancies and healthy babies, that and blessings from above:)

  1. I WISH I didn't have to get the flushot this year (but with school, it's mandatory! :( )

Good luck with your new thing!

  3. I'm totally on board with you Kat. I don't really know anyone else other than you that doesn't vaccinate here. On the island it's a different story. I feel really good about not vaccinating Maizey. I will be interested to see how this all turns out and I'll be next in line.

  4. Yes BC is defiantely a lot more accepting of the alternative medicines...I have run in to a few people here, it is finally starting to catch on a bit, people just need to be educated on preventative health instead of medicating the symptoms all the time:)

  5. Interesting little FYI re: WHO and the swine flu. After all the uproar about vaccinations and pandemics last flu season, this year the WHO chairwoman issued a statement that said basically, "Oh oops, we were wrong, sorry about that"

I was never able to get most vaccinations required when we're younger because with my dad's cancer and diminished immune system, we couldn't be intentional carriers of live viruses.

I don't think I ever suffered for the lack. In fact, I once got a blessing that stated that I should forego vaccinations and antibiotics to allow for my body to develop natural immunities.

I've tried to follow that advice ever since.

Having said that -- I got swine flu last year -- not recommended, but I survived.

  6. That is interesting...I wont even go there about the whole swine flu thingy, I was quite mad at the WHO and health Canada, I am pretty sure I had it too, but I survived just fine too. What a neat blessing you had:)
My brother and I always had bad reactions to immunizations, (my brother worse than I), that is why my mother started looking into it, and she ended up going back to school and becoming a holistic practitioner.
