So Natasha had a criminal justice project to do in school and this video is what the girls came up with. They wrote the lyrics.
They are learning about their rights as juveniles in the criminal justice system.
I find this rather ironic. I remember learning the same thing in grade 9. A police officer came to talk to us and all I can recall from this is that they were basically telling us that we were protected from the law as juveniles and it didnt matter what we did our record would be wiped clean when we turn18. I think it sends the wrong message and there a few delinquents out there that think they can get away with anything. The sad truth is they can, anyhow I hope the curriculum is different these days, and in any case, this video is funny. If you cant hear it at the end, the girls acting as police officers say, "that was a hard days work...lets go get some doughnuts"
Stay tuned... my next post will be about the YW in Excellence program last nigt which was fabulous!
